1. IT'S USED TO DENOTE THE HABITUAL ACTION
ex : we go to school every day
2. IT'S USED TO DENOTE THE GENERAL TRUTH

3. IT'S USED TO DENOTE THE CHARACTER OF SOME ONE OR HIS ABILITY
ex : the student study hard
4. IT'S USED AFTER THE WORD IF, IN CASE AND UNLESS
ex : if you study hard. you will succeed
5. IT'S USED TO EMPHASIZE THE ACTION ( so, the simple tense can be named by "THE PRESENT EMPHATIC TENSE"
